Before, Primed & Finished
This summer my sister came up to my house for a week to help me paint the wonderful wood panel walls in my front room. We started at 8 in the morning and did not get done until 2 the next morning!!! We first had to tape of the room, then prime the walls (this is what took forever), and then we had to put two coats of paint on the wall. As you all know we live out in the middle of know where so we tend to have little visitors, visit our house every once in a while….ok we have them all the time!! You know MICE! McKenzie and I had to move Olin’s gun cabinet to get behind the wall to paint. It is huge so we had to just slide it along the floor. When we were sliding the cabinet the drawers on the bottom slid open. And now for the specialty act…. A mother mouse jumped out of the drawer with six pink babies hook to her sides!!! Kenzie and I started screaming. I ran up the latter Kenzie jump on the wood burning stove! All the while my dog Indi was going nuts chasing the mouse around. The mouse was running everywhere and dropping her babies as she ran. Olin was not home so once again I called up my neighbor to come get the mice! When I got on the phone to talk to him I was laughing, screaming and crying all at the same time. Kenzie yelled why are you crying? And I said I don’t know why! He only got a few words through the whole conversation. His family left the restaurant where they were at and came rushing over. He said he thought I had said that the cabinet had landed on Indi and that when he got there he was going to find a dead dog! LOL Ok so when he got there we were still on the ladder his wife came in put on a plastic glove grabbed the nest and through it outside! What the &*^$ I would never, ever do that she is tough. Then her husband rounded up the babies that Indi had got and took care of them as well. All I have to say is that I have great neighbors and I owe them big time! Thanks again Lex, Bo Jane & Ruger!

That story gets better everytime you tell it! XOXO Melanie
lol you need a beebee gun! They work great on mice... I shot quite a few of those gross things. I thought my house had become infested with them, but I think they were only inside from construction. Have not seen one inside for a few years now. Maybe they just heard about the psycho with the gun...
Oh, I have a few good mice stories when we lived in Holliday! We'll have to exchange more stories at the next family get together, I totally know what you mean by screaming, crying, and laughing all at the same time! :)
