Biting the Dust!

Melaine called me up Friday afternoon and said that she just got 4 free tickets to the BYU game. Olin was going to be out of town yet again:) So I decide to head down to Ephraim to meet her and play with the boys for the weekend. Olin was able to come to Ephraim too but he had to leave early the next morning to drive to the rodeo, so we left a car and Grandma Whipple's house so I could get home after the game. Thanks Grandma! I had such a fun time sitting around the firepit, roasting marshmallows, playing with Ky& Brox and being with the family. Saturday we spent all morning convincing my mom that she had to come to the game and that it was OK to miss the woman's conference. I almost had to pull out church talks to convince her. After she talked to a few ladies in the presidency she decided she would go. After we dropped off kids, Indi and hiked for I swear 300 miles we finale made it to the stadium. Our seats were great we were two rows up from the band... it was funny watching the members but we had fun with all the music they played. BYU was Biting the Dust in the 4th quarter so we decided to head out early so we could hike the 300 miles back to the car. I don't know how my 50 year old parents beat Mel and I to the car but they did and even drove up the rode to pick us up! OK I know how they did it. Mel and I had on flip flops with no padding and they had on tennis shoes so they had no problem walking the 3 million miles! Me on the other hand I still have blisters today on the bottom of my feet! I had a great weekend with the family and I can't wait to see you all again in a few weeks.

We were at the game too...like 15 rows behind the band. How did we not see you? FYI....if you eat at the Mall you can ride a bus to and from the game for free. It's totally worth it.
